It's here again - Happy Friday! I've heard alot of talk about New Year's resolutions lately. Now, don't get me wrong, I think making positive changes is a great thing for all of us, but I wonder, how many people have taken the time to look at what was positive about the last year and make the decision to keep on keeping on.

I was reading in Matthew this morning and was reminded of the wrong impressions people had of Jesus and how they mocked and ridiculed Him.

I thought about the things that I have been mocked and ridiculed for over last year -submitting to my husband (this seems to really be a hard one for people to understand), waiting patiently for God's will and timing instead of jumping into things (which, for me, doesn't happen very often), and keeping a calm, open attitude when others want me to get angry about something.

Matthew 10:25 "It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!"

The Pharisees accuse Jesus of using Beelzebul's power to drive out demons. He was accused of being evil. If our Jesus was misunderstood, we should expect to experience the same. Are you allowing other's negative comments to you or rumors behind your back, affect your life? Are you living by their standards or God's?

Matthew 10:28 "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Live your life for Christ and let "them" talk all they want!!

Have a great day and a great weekend!

Living fearlessly in Christ
